If you’re a fashion and culture fiend like myself then you would have probably already checked out Frock Stars: Inside Australian Fashion Week and Aurelio Costarella: A 30 year retrospective at the WA Museum – but my sister L and I were lucky enough to attend the PhotoReady Fashion Parlour: Girls’ Day Out at the WA Museum featuring Aurelio Costarella himself!
The event was held in one of the many beautiful function rooms at the museum and featured a Revlon make over bar, hair styling, Myer personal shoppers, fashion shows featuring the latest looks and of course, champagne.
Costarella presented his new collection and his new biography spanning 30 years in the business. The man has dressed the likes of Kelly Osbourne, Dita Von Tease, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Emma Booth and the Kardashian sisters so we felt pretty special listening to the man behind the frocks speak about his extensive career.
Both Frock Stars and the Costarella retrospective are still showing at the museum for a few more weeks (and they’re free) so if you’re looking for something different to do head on down.
