We’ve been living in South Perth for over a year and E & I wanted to keep it local for today’s brunch – and nothing screams South Perth than a view of the city and a cool breeze.
What a beautiful location for a restaurant. Marquay sits on the Mends Street Jetty and the glass paneled restaurant is surrounded by stunning river views.
The Free Range Egg Omelette with Gravlax, Spring Onion, Truffle Salt and Creme Fraiche ($23) was light, tasty and served with thick cut toast. The omelette melted in my mouth, the glavlax was fresh and delicate and the truffle salt added an extra zing to the dish.
E’s weekend favourite, Eggs Benedict ($18.50) featured crispy bacon, soft poached eggs and zesty hollandaise.
The staff were attentive and well mannered, but my morning was already made with the beautiful view.
Is location important when dining out?
