It’s not every day that you are approached by a glam PR fashionista and whisked over to an exclusive Perth Blogger luncheon for the relaunch of the BLVD Markets, but I can tell you it was very exciting.
But let’s start at the beginning.
My darling friend L and I enabled the google maps and “road tripped” up to Floreat (which really isn’t far at all but we just have no sense of direction). After a few soy coffees and maybe even a ham and cheese croissant we were ready to discover all that BLVD had to offer.
Stepping into the Boulevard Hotel’s sexy beer garden L and I were greeted with delicious smells, the fabulous beat of bongo drums and a bunch of stylish people sipping local wine by Vinaceous. Tiny stalls laden with stunning garb were dotted around the garden featuring some of WA’s best fashion talent including the vibrant Emily Muco in a fantastic vintage inspired print dress and label Jonté‘s trove of delicate jewels. And we had to stop by Cake by Laura Isabella to pick up a tasty morsel for our significant others.
The Boulevard’s signature fashion cocktail for the event ‘The Market’ was a fresh mix of gin, watermelon juice and mint. Went down beautifully! The Boulevard bar staff were complimentary and attentive.
Being a ‘new’ blogger on the scene I still get that little bit nervous pulling out my camera. I’ve always been a confident person but when L & I were approached by two immaculately dressed ladies with an invite to an exclusive bloggers lunch hosted by David Gardiner PR this nervous blogger had butterflies. New super fashionable people, gah! Thankfully L was with me and she can talk to save herself. Even though we had to drink and run it was fantastic to meet fellow seasoned Perth bloggers Bonnie of Bonnie Friday Blog, Monique of Little Miss Mon Bon, Hayley of Keep Calm and Wear Couture and David and Nicole. It was great to finally put faces to names of bloggers who I’ve followed religiously for years. Fan girl moment, hahaha.
The BLVD markets will replay in April and May, so if you didn’t pop down over the weekend you haven’t missed out.
