We all know the quote “don’t judge a book by its cover”. Well, I’m the first to admit if the cover, box or package is pretty, I’m going to buy it!
When it comes to shampoo and conditioner I’m pretty easy going. I’m one of those girls who loves trying new formulas and I love shopping around to find the fruitiest scents and best deals.
When browsing the toiletries aisle earlier this week I couldn’t pass up the sleek and sexy new packaging of Sunsilk Australia‘s latest collection. My first thought was “black shampoo and conditioner bottles, yes please”. They’d look awesome in our predominantly white bathroom. My second thought as I read the packaging was “why yes, I’m trying to grow my hair” and into the basket they went. Sunsilk’s Longer and Stronger duo is the perfect aid for those trying to grow their mop post winter chop. I’ve had short to mid length hair for the longest time but with summer on the way I’ve been craving long, luxe beach waves and as I’m not a fan of hair extensions the only thing I can do is let my own hair grow!
Longer and Stronger features rooibos and nutri calcium promoting strength and breakage reduction from root to tip. But what I love the most about the super shampoo is the fragrance – honey and mango. Mmm. Fruity scent – tick! The fragrance is initially subtle, but it is one of those long lasting scents you can still smell in your hair days later.
Now onto the new packaging. Sunsilk Australia has teamed up with hair stylist Teddy Charles for their latest hair care collection. The stylist to the stars has worked with the likes of Cameron Diaz and Sarah Jessica Parker amongst others so he knows hair! The collection also includes products dedicated to damage reconstruction, shine, frizz defence and hydration, so there really is something for everyone. And how is my hair feeling post usage? Shiny, fresh and really silky. Fingers crossed it’ll be down to my bum by December!
Sunsilk products are available at Coles, Woolworths and Priceline as well as select chemists. To stay in the loop head over to their website.
Have you tried Sunsilk’s new range? What are your tips for strengthening your hair?
