Wow. What a whirlwind of a weekend. The last few days saw Forrest Chase in the city transform into Fashion Central for the annual Telstra Perth Fashion Festival. Personally I couldn’t wait to get out and about and absorb our own mini fashion week.

Being a fan of affordable fashion, I decided to stick to the free runway shows this year, because as much as I love the glamour of designer fashion, I wanted to keep it simple. And me.

I checked out three shows over the weekend. Here’s a little peek of Fashion Central 2014.

Miss Brown Vintage, Dangerfield, Gorman and more.

What did we see?
Bold and bright fabrics, vintage inspired and true vintage styles, polka dots (on men and women), graphic print, big OTT sunglasses and accessories.

Everything Miss Brown – there is nothing better than a one of a kind vintage piece. Nothing really compares. If you’re an op shop fan like me you’ll know how amazing it feels to come across a standout piece that is original and individual.

What did we see?
Samantha Jade singing up a storm, spring racing fashion at its finest, pops of pink, prints galore, male models looking dapper, Dannii Minogue‘s new petite range, curvy models rocking fabulous pencil skirts and floaty blouses and quirky printed twin sets.

Lusting Over
The stunning skirts and dresses ready to wear to the races! Who knew Target was so glam. The label has really amped it up this season with designer collaborations (Missoni coming soon to Target), more fearless designs by young designers and something for everyone. This show was probably my favourite, as I was in awe of the latest collection. We headed straight to Target post show to take a proper look at our favourites. The wish list had grown.

What did we see?
Girly glamour mixed with sports luxe style, structured shirts and skirts in fantastic prints and pastels, lace and sheer, flippy ponytails and bold lips, gorgeous midi skirts in vibrant colours.

Lusting Over
Midi skirts. Drooling. I’ve been a Hello Parry fan since I visited her HQ for an event a few months back. Sandy has an eye for all things lady and I was drooling over her selection of midi skirts sashaying down the checkerboard runway. What I loved most was Sandy’s posse and blogger friends rocking her label for the show. And a huge congrats on your first show Sandy, it was fantastic.

My favourite part of the day had to be getting together with fellow bloggers for hangs, impromptu OOTD shoots, spying on the fantastic street style and general tomfoolery. Spending the afternoon gossiping over wine with Demelza Buckley and Nezuki was a fantastic end to a fantastic day. Bummed I didn’t get into the city for Restyle on Sunday, but this old girl required some home time.

Congratulations to all the international and WA designers showcased over the week, I had a ball.
