Ciao 2014!

Looking back on this year I now realise why those stubborn bags under my eyes hung around so often. 2014 was a wild ride. From zooming over to Sydney and Melbourne for blog events and mini breaks, working my butt off in my regular job, spending time with my lovely friends and making a few new ones, eating my way through Perth’s brunch scene, attending some fabulous Perth fashion, art and cultural events, celebrating some special family birthdays, trying new things and driving E crazy I haven’t had time to breath. As busy as the year was I’ve loved it, and it really has been one of the best.

I don’t think I’ll be making any resolutions this year. Last year I vowed to drink more tea, read more, and continue my studies. Well, I quit the community services course I was doing quite soon after and only managed to read a few books over the year. I did drink a crap load of tea though, but that was the easiest resolution, right?

I think I’ve finally realised I’m not going to be able to stick to anything too unrealistic, and feeling guilty about not losing those extra kilos or worrying about spending my savings on a new dress is draining. If I’m happy doing what I’m doing then why force myself to stick to a list of things that don’t really need resolving in my life. My only “resolution” this year is to be happy. And live. Last year was pretty amazing but I feel like now is the time to work on me and get out there with a bang! Watch this space. But for now, here are some of the beautiful moments from my 2014. It was definitely a year of memory making.

Best moments of 2014 were the times I got to visit my babies and parents. All the best for 2015. Will look forward to reading your blog.

  2. Nice resolutions Em – mine are to eat more brunch (if that is possible) and catch up with friends more often – lucky those two go hand in hand! šŸ™‚

  3. Love the random picture of Storm amongst your collage haha. My resolution is to put a bigger focus on being healthy and stress free! Can’t believe its 2015
