How do you spend the weekend? I like exploring. Whether it’s discovering a new favourite place to shop or heading out to explore the local markets. Give me new things!
My E discovered these suburban “woods” near home not long ago. We drive past them on a regular basis but we’ve never stopped to wander until now. Slightly eerie, I’m not sure if I’ll visit again any time soon but they sure made a pretty back drop for my gorgeous new dress! I’m kind of obsessed with this dress, so much so I wore it to one of my birthday celebrations! Brunch on the foreshore with my crew – a perfect morning!
Lady like and elegant, but with a quirky pop, this AVA Design is me to a tee! If you missed my first AVA post, the Perth label is designed for the real woman. The kind of girl who leads a busy life taking her from one location to the next without a break, so the dresses are versatile and can be worn anywhere, even in the woods! I love the bold statement print that covers various panels of the skirt and back. The geometric pop adds a bit of quirk to the simple full skirt, while the matching belt is perfect for sinching in your waist. It’s feminine and sweet, perfect for any kind of weekend play!
A pop of colour in the form of bright red lipstick and a pair of nude heels completed the look, and was the perfect choice for my recent birthday.
This weekend my adventures included a trip to Mexico in the form of a themed housewarming party, a trip to the “hairdressers” with a new do coming soon to the blog (but you can find it on my Instagram page if you’re keen for a squiz) and an adventure to the markets on Sunday morning with E to find the best fruit and veg out! Plus a spooky 90s killer flick, but that was one adventure we don’t need to revisit (Copycat, 1995, Sigouney Weaver). Shudder.
Who knows what is instore for my next adventure, but I’m sure this dress will be along for the ride. And if you’re a fan it’s currently on sale! Doesn’t get any better than that.
