A boyfriend is NOT necessarily required for this Autumn trend, but if you do have a bae perfecting this trend will simply require “borrowing” a tee from his wardrobe. And if you don’t have a man, it’s an excuse to go shopping! And that second answer sounds perfect to me. The “Boyfriend Tee” is pretty much the t-shirt version of a boyfriend shirt. Sloppy, comfortable but still chic and very on trend, an overside tee is a total staple! I love the rolled up sleeves and relaxed fit, making them perfect for all occasions. Dress them up with a great denim skirt and a leather jacket, or keep the look casual with basic jeans and canvas shoes. The styling options are endless!
Another reason I just love a BF tee is because comfort is a priority when I’m choosing my daily outfits. Yes, I want to look good (or decent on lazy days), but feeling comfy in whatever I wear is more important! My style is very one way or the other, so when I’m not living in girly dresses you’ll find me in a relaxed “tomboy” look. I don’t have a boyfriend to borrow from, so I stock up on casual cool tops at spots like Cotton On, Kmart and Big W (that is where you can find the BF tee I’m wearing in my snap)! I’m happy to admit they are a bit of a personal weekend uniform paired with black skinnies and whatever shoe takes my fancy. Here are my picks (and wish list) of the coolest boy tee’s out.
