Hello Spring! It’s almost as if Winter was only here for a few weeks. Time to stop hibernating and get out and about! And that is exactly what I did last weekend. Firstly, I didn’t have to wear stockings! And secondly my long sleeved shirt stayed tied around my waist because it was actually warm enough to go without! Small wins people.

Let’s start with the tee. When Australian company Ruby & Lilli contacted to me style one of their tee’s I actually couldn’t choose which one I wanted, so I left it up to them to pick one for me. I gave them two choices, and E and I joked if I did get the “Wifey” slogan tee she’d be posing with me for the shoot. Pretty sure she went into shock when I unwrapped the beautifully packaged top! I would never force her to get in front of the camera but we did have a good laugh about it! I’m certainly not a wifey (yet) but there was just something about the deep v neck tee that I just loved. Plus it’s hilarious to wear, and scare my GF! Made from a beautiful soft “vintage” cotton blend, and featuring a relaxed fit it’s the perfect tee for daily activities. Comfort is very important to me (as you may know by now), and there was no “rearranging” this outfit as I wore it! Tick! Plus it can be dressed up and down depending on your mood. Ruby & Lilli’s sizes range from 8 to 28 so everyone can get on it! Big thanks for thinking of me ladies!

I’m loving the denim skirt thing that has been going on in the fashion world (again) and I love the grungy 90’s feel it evokes. I actually picked up this skirt for a tiny $9 at Kmart Australia a few weeks back and I knew once the sunshine started hanging around a little more often I’d be taking it out with me more often! It takes me back to my childhood. I had a vast collection of denim skirts in all different styles back in the day! Mum knew what was cool (or would be cool again 15 years later)! The skirt is still thick though, so if the weather turns I’ll be a little warmer than I would be in something else, haha!

As I mentioned the weather is still a little unpredictable in Spring, so I casually tied a flannel shirt in a matching colour scheme around my waist to the complete the outfit. Some would say a “flanno” is a very Aussie, bogan item, but I lived in my lumbar jack lady shirt through out Winter and I’m not ready to pack it away just yet! I could have titled this post “Shades of Grey” but what is that rubbish I speak of!

Finally to complete my outfit I had to print clash (just a little, it still scares me) this pair of fab striped slip on’s. They are so comfy and I don’t know why I didn’t grab a pair sooner. Once again, I think they’re perfect for Spring just incase there are still puddles lurking around. I’m not a fan of wet feet! Are you?

This is one of the many outfits I’ve worn house hunting as of late. You’ll hear more about that very soon, but let me tell you this, comfort is very important when traipsing around a million different suburbs to view a possible new “forever home”. Exciting things are coming people!

What will you be wearing this Spring? Do you know Ruby & Lilli?
