LUSH x BUA 1st birthday!

Happy Birthday BUA! If you’re a blogger, I’m sure you’d know who Bloggers United Australia are, but if you don’t I’ll quickly fill you in. BUA is a online blogging community for every kind of blogger. A place to connect, make friendships, ask questions, help people out. It’s great! And last week BUA turned one, and I was kindly invited to celebrate with them at Lush‘s newest WA store at the Murray Street mall. Beauty heaven and celebrating a birthday? Yes please!

I’m a huge Lush fan, and incorporate their organic, fair trade, vegan and vegetarian beauty and skin care products into my beauty regime almost daily. You can read more about my favourite Lush products here. But back to the event. The new store on Murray Street is modern, fresh and beautiful, just like the products you’ll find inside. We were treated to a mini pamper session by the lovely Lush staff, who are so excited and passionate about their products, it’s no surprise it was a brilliant evening. Staff make an experience and Annie and her team were filled to the brim with knowledge and info regarding every single product in store. If you’re unsure about what you’re looking for they’ll be able to recommend it quick sticks. The first time I visited Lush I was overwhelmed by the amount of stuff in the store, and didn’t even know where to start until Annie got me to think about what exactly I needed and my skin needed.

Part of the event included choosing our own product to take home, and what a mission that is! There are enough products in the store to try a different one every single day of the year! I thought about what I needed in my skin care regime, but realised that was pretty good at present, so decided to pick up a new lipstick. I know right. I have a hundred. But when I saw Lush’s insanely pigmented lippie range I was sold. Drive is a bright pinky purple hue with a slight shimmer that dries quickly and beautifully. Resident Lush makeup artist Tilly explained the lippie can also be worn on the cheeks and eyes. Three in one! I debuted it earlier this week at work and had many a compliment and questions on where to find it! Win. Think I made the right choice! We were also kindly gifted a few other products on the night including the “Let The Good Times Roll” scrub (my review here) which I’d recently run out of, so that was perfect. I can’t wait to try out my new goodies.

Huge thanks to Sam from That Little Beauty Blog and Sophie from Born To Buy for inviting me to such a “lush” event. Huge congratulations on the big one year BUA! Here is to many more.

Are you a Lush fan? What is your favourite product?

What a great post !! Fabulous pics Emma. Sounds like a fun gathering. Beautiful products.

  2. I hope you had as good of a night as I did. :3
I was so close to choosing a lipstick for my free product too! But I ultimately ended up with a hair treatment.

I’m a huge lover of LUSH, I definitely recommend combining the Sunny Side and Big Blue bath bombs if you’re feeling fancy. 😉 I’m not much of a bath girl myself, but I can’t say no to that beautiful mermaid bath.

    Gorgeous photos. 🙂
