So long ’16!

It’s the last few days of the year, and time for a few weeks off the blog to celebrate the silly season and have a bit of a me time before we kick into the new year. I’ve not been as active within this space this year. I blame my new job and struggling to manage a lot of new shifts thrown into my already bizarre work schedule. Don’t get me wrong, I’m loving the work, but I need to find a balance so I have time for all of the things I love, including the blog.

Now how was this year? Pretty damn good if you ask me! We traveled overseas twice, first to Singapore in March, then Kuala Lumpur in October. Both trips were absolutely amazing. If I could travel full time I totally would. There is just something magical about exploring a brand new place, and all of its colour and culture. I can’t choose a favourite between Singapore and KL as they were both so different, but I’ll tell you this, I’m already counting down to our next trip!

What else? We got another new niece this year. E’s sister had another beautiful little girl a few months back and she is just precious. Also in family news my little sister got engaged which is totally wonderful. And of course I’ve been asked to be her maid of honour which is super exciting – as long as the dress is cute of course! Ha!

Health wise, as I’ve previously mentioned, I’ve finally learnt to love exercise and regularly attend PT sessions at the gym. I feel so much better about everything now, and have stopped beating myself up about what I eat because I know I’m moving and working out. It’s been a huge learning curve for me because I’ve always had an up and down relationship with my body but I’m finally in a place where I’m happy, curves and all.

Blog wise I’ve worked with some fabulous local and international brands this year which is always a pleasure. I’ve discovered new products and services that I just love and can’t wait to form more blog relationships over the new year. And here is a mini recap of my top ten blog posts of the year if you’re looking for a bit of Summer holidays reading! A good mix as usual – see why I can’t find a blog niche friends?
