April has got to be one of my favourite months, probably because it’s my birthday month! This past weekend was titled “The Weekend of E” and involved too much cake, lots of fun cocktails and time with my favourite people. I celebrated turning 27 from Friday morning tea time at work all the way through till yesterday evening.
A friends birthday is the perfect excuse to gather the troops and discover a new (to us anyway) cafe! Last weekend saw my lovely friend F celebrate another birthday, in style of course, and the first stop on “The Day Of F” was a lovely foodie gathering at Northbridge’s Tarts Cafe. With an extensive menu and reviews to boot it was the perfect spot for celebration.
E, take note. You’ve only got a few days left of shopping time, because my birthday is fast approaching! I’ll be 27 on Sunday!
I love those weekends where you feel like you’ve accomplished something, aka the productive ones. But what I love more are those weekends spent celebrating life with your friends and lovers. The ones where you do exactly what you feel like doing, whether it’s going out and enjoying the good weather, or just lying on the couch catching up on a TV series you’ve been neglecting. I did all of the above this weekend.
After a much needed blog hiatus over the Christmas and New Year period, I’m back! And today is the perfect day to get back to the blog world, because today is The Illusive Femme’s first birthday. My little baby blog is one!
It’s not every day you have the chance to sit down to a decadent three course meal, and a birthday is a very good chance to do so! E’s sister S celebrated a milestone birthday a few weeks back so obviously we had to celebrate in style, and Casa Del Amici provided the goods.
Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday MANY6160, Happy birthday to you!
I had the best weekend in Sydney, I just didn’t want to come home. Luckily E and I have a week and a half off over the Easter/ANZAC Day break. I plan on drinking lots of tea, reading five books and relaxing. Here’s an Instagram peek into my Sydney weekend.
