Gold or silver. It really is a bit of a fashion debate. My Nanna celebrated her birthday a few weeks ago and we bought her the most beautiful stirling silver Chanel inspired pearl bangle for the special day. When presenting her with the gift she was clearly a fan of the beautiful bracelet, but had to stop and say she “didn’t normally wear silver” and she was a gold girl. The next day when we went over to visit her she was wearing the bangle and had magically pulled some silver earrings from her “gold-only” jewellery box to match her gift. And she looked lovely!
Accessories make a look. Adding a simple ring or cuff to a casual outfit can jazz it up and bring it together in seconds. I don’t leave the house without earrings or I feel naked. I’ve also become very partial to a bright, bedazzled statement necklace. Perth’s own Jemma Manson is the creative behind Little Dove.
I never expect to find gorgeous jewellery at events like the Supanova Pop Culture Expo (Australia’s own Comic Con), but stumbling across Jubly-Umph‘s quirky accessories stand back in June made my day.
Friday night. The gateway to the weekend. You must choose the entry wisely… If you go too hard you spend all of Saturday in bed with a hangover, but if you do too little you feel like you’ve wasted the perfect opportunity for an adventure. This Friday combined three of my favourite things – good friends, champagne and shopping.
