Whether you like it or not, the colour people have spoken and green will be everywhere this coming year. Goodbye Rose Quartz and Serenity, Pantone has decided it’s all about Greenery this year! The vibrant, zesty yellow green evokes images of lush gardens and a beautiful Spring day. According to Pantone, Greenery symbolises the re-connection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose amid a complex social and political landscape. Deep! Advertisements
Every season, colour authority Pantone release a swatch of colours that are going to be big. And I mean become the “in colours” for the next six plus months, appearing on the catwalk, in your favourite furniture stores and in every clothes shop you visit. We all know that Rose Quartz and Serenity were dubbed the colours of the year, but what about the colours of this season?
A week or so back I touched on the topic of collaboration being key in creative relationships, and this post proves how important and inspirational it really can be.
The brighter the better with this trend, multi coloured dresses are very in and very much a staple going into the latest season!
Colour brings a little bit of spark to my life. Whether it be a cute, bright print dress or a pop of red lipstick, colour is one of my ultimate tools for happiness. What is not to love about vibrancy and standing out? As the brilliant style blogger Kim-Marie aka Kimba Likes put it…“I firmly believe that colour makes me happy”. Her post How To Add Colour To Your Life is permanently bookmarked and if I’m ever feeling dull or flat it’s my go to. Another lass who knows colour, and lives colour is local Perth artist Linzi Carter.
