Sometimes I wish I worked in the city. It’s constantly buzzing, there is always something new and exciting going on and the lunch time options are very extensive. Come to think of it my current work place is also constantly buzzing and something new is always happening, but the food options can be pretty dismal. That is one good thing about working shift work though, free time to wander into the city for a late lunch and a bit of exploration. Advertisements
If you’re ever in the Mount Lawley/Highgate area and in dire need of a caffeine fix but are looking for a more chilled out spot then I’ve got the cafe for you. Lincoln’s 102 is your typical quirky Highgate establishment filled with rickety mismatched furniture and a healthy yet decadent menu but it is just off the busy Beaufort Street cafe strip so you don’t have to struggle to find parking or fight over tables. The perfect combination, right?
This is a sponsored post in collaboration with Ben & Jerry’s. Perth is stepping up. Voted into the top 10 most liveable cities last week, my pretty city is pretty groovy.
Sunshine, on my window, makes me happy, like I should be. I swear winter has been a little bit confused this year. Sunshine galore during the day but freezing cold nights.
It is a rare occurrence for me to visit Subiaco. Even though I work 5 minutes from the pretty strip, I never manage to make my way to Rokeby Road.
My friend C comes all the way from NYC. At one of her recent parties we made authentic s’mores; gooey Hersey’s chocolate, graham crackers all the way from the USA, marshmallow fluff. It was perfect, besides the fire wouldn’t light and I ended up cooking my dessert with a Bic lighter. Almost there!
