Life Update
And like that, it was November! This year has seriously flown by. I feel like as I’m getting older (gah) life isn’t slowing down at all. In fact, I can still remember exactly how I celebrated Christmas last year. Every single moment of it. If time wants to slow down a little I’d really appreciate it.
Life Updates
With a new month upon us and a new season (hi Spring!) I thought it was time to check in with everyone and give you guys a mini update on some of the facets of my life. I’ve been running around like a headless chook for the last few weeks and I’m finally well and truly out of Winter hibernation mode. Yay! Bring on sunshine and festivities, I’m ready!
P E R S O N A L: Gotta do what you’ve gotta do!
This weekend I was a bad blogger, but let’s set the scene first. I work full time, in a very stressy environment. And it’s shift work, with weird start and finish times. I’m in a relationship, which is very important (obviously) and besides the blog stuff I have friends and things I want to do in my time off. So this weekend I was a bad blogger
Five reasons to try Bendy Breakfast Yoga Perth in 2016
I never thought I’d see the day when I woke up extremely early on a Saturday morning to exercise. I’m not a huge fan of getting sweaty at the gym and hate “walking” as much as I hate a lot of green vegetables, so when I set my alarm for 5am a few weeks ago I knew I must be crazy. Why so early you ask? Because I randomly lost my mind and enrolled in a yoga class with a friend.
A{nother} Letter To My Body
Dear Body, I wrote to you about a year back now. At that time I was finally starting to feel comfortable in my skin, and now twelve months on I thought it was a good time to rewrite you. A year back I’d finally come to terms with the fact you were the body I was given, and I had to embrace it. And these days I am really loving the skin I’m in. As a woman it is common to struggle with body image issues from day dot. Back in high school I really didn’t like you too much Body. I was the first to grow boobs (thanks family genes), my skin wasn’t the best and I didn’t participate in sport because I was too embarrassed to run in front of people. But I just wanted to tell you, I voluntarily took part in a boxing class recently. It was part of a blogger collaboration with four other bloggers, a MMA fight coach, a brilliant photographer and a fashion designer specialising in sports luxe. …
i-Resort, Nha Trang #relax
There is nothing wrong with treating yourself, and that is precisely what E and I did when we visited the beach capital of Vietnam, Nha Trang. A short bus trip down the mountain from Dalat (read about my experience here) and nothing like the craziness of Ho Chi Minh City (my thoughts here), the small city was a piece of luxe paradise. So why not make the most of it? When in Rome they say.
Juice Cleansing: A Beginner’s Guide
Whilst I didn’t really over indulge on Christmas goodies over the festive period the last few weeks of my life have been pretty stressful (I’m okay, don’t worry) and unfortunately I’m a bit of comfort eater. Hello carb party. I haven’t managed to stick to my usual semi-healthy food routine as of late and this probably contributed to a low immune system and catching a summer flu a couple of weeks back. And when you’re used to seeing the number on the scales slowly tick backwards it’s a bit of a nasty surprise to see them climbing back up again. So I had to do something about it. And fortunately The Juicist came to my rescue.
