I’ve been very MIA from my blog for the past few weeks because it really is that time of the year to get out and celebrate. It’s family time, it’s party time, it’s dancing in the sunshine time. And I’ve done all of those things and more as of late. Advertisements
Not too much to report in the last few weeks except my trip to Melbourne, pre-Christmas blog events, family stuff, the usual work shenanigans and being run off my ass with a million errands and a to-do list the size of a small child.
Christmas is a month away. I’m in pure shock. If anyone is able to tell me how and why the year has gone so quickly I’ll give you a prize. I’m not prepared at all.
Is it just me or is life running so smoothly right now? In fact, I’ve been in the best mood lately and I have no idea why. Even work has been bearable. Sunshine, rainbows and the rest of that clichéd jazz, but life has been really good.
If I had any idea how this year would pan out when I started my little spot on the internet I probably would have had a heart attack. Or at least a panic attack. Because the day I decided to really put some time and effort into my blog I didn’t realise that my little place of ranting and reviews would become so much more.
This last fortnight has been good and bad. Telstra Perth Fashion Festival was absolutely fantastic, I spent time with my family for my brother Joel’s university graduation, caught up with old and new friends respectively, discovered a new favourite cafe, met some wonderful new blogger friends and found out E’s sister is having another girl! I’m going to be an aunty again!
Spring has sprung! The first few days of this month were absolutely stunning, but I think Winter was jealous of all Spring’s glory, so a grey sky and rain have been back with fury. Just means my Spring dresses are still in the cupboard and I’ve had a chance to rock my jeans. This fortnight has been busy, although I will admit I spent Saturday catching up on sleep.
E sent me an email last week filled with smiley faces and exclamation marks. Why was she so happy? Because she’d decided she was spending the weekend “spring cleaning”, because, you know, that’s what you do at the beginning of Spring. My reply was less enthusiastic and I refused to spend my weekend dusting blinds and rearranging trinkets, but of course I let her go with it.
How has your fortnight been? The world has had a bit of an interesting one, but let us focus on the positives.
