Happy New Year! 2016 seems so bright and shiny and new and full of possibilities. This year already feels like it’s going to be a good one and we aren’t even a month in yet! The days are longer, the sun is brighter and there is so much going on right now! Advertisements
Hello Summer! And hello festive season. This has got to be my favourite time of year. Work is slowly winding down for the year, I managed to score some time off over the Christmas and New Year period and everything has been peachy! It’s time to start planning Summer adventures, festive frivolity and some down time back in my sleepy home town with my family for Christmas. It’ll be so great to get out of the city for a bit and recharge. It may be a little slower on the blog post front over Summer because I feel like a little breather, but you will still find me over on Instagram and Snapchat (user name illusivefemmeem). But it’s not break time yet so I need to stay focused for a few more weeks. Since we last updated (more here) everything has been good. Work has been busy, the weekends have been busier and I’ve been out and about and around the block. Here is what I’ve been up to lately! 1. My friend and fellow …
With the change of season now is the time to make a few changes in your life. Cleansing and cleaning your headspace, body, living space and social space can be exactly what you need to do to kick those Winter blues. I’ve compiled a list of six key areas of your life to get rearranging, revitalising and changing for the sunshine months. Think of how good you’ll feel when your health, head and home is decluttered! Detox your body Raise your hand if you ate your way through Winter? I did! But now the sun is out and I want to get out and enjoy it! Except I’m feeling sluggish and blah and kick starting your Spring health routine is a great way to get back to feeling like you normally do. I’ve juice cleansed in the past so I though why …
Roll back eight years and I was out on the town nearly every night with friends, dancing until dawn and drinking whatever was the cheapest option that evening (usually Passion Pop, ew). These days I prefer a few drinks with close friends and something I actually enjoy drinking. Introducing my new favourite go to beverage – Coco Vodka. Sounds delicious already, right?
Can anyone else believe it’s February already? It’s like January never happened. Please let this year slow down a little, I’m not ready for it to be 2016 already! For some reason everything happens in the Summer months (probably because it’s just SO nice outside) so I’ve been trying to get out and live a little in the sunshine.
I’ve been very MIA from my blog for the past few weeks because it really is that time of the year to get out and celebrate. It’s family time, it’s party time, it’s dancing in the sunshine time. And I’ve done all of those things and more as of late.

Sunshine, on my window, makes me happy, like I should be. I swear winter has been a little bit confused this year. Sunshine galore during the day but freezing cold nights.
