Today is my Saturday. I’m working Sunday evening which means technically I have an almost long weekend with Friday off. It’s one thing I love about shift work. Bonus time for fun things! And hanging out with my Nanna this morning for a coffee and some brunch. And taking time to sit back and take stock, one of my favourite things to do every now and then to just check in with where I’m at and what I’m prioritising at the time. Advertisements
Let the rain fall down! As you may have heard me mention in the past I’m not a huge fan of Winter. Especially when we’ve only recently returned from a tropical vacation overseas in Vietnam and Cambodia where the weather was epic. It was so great to escape the initial few throws of Winter, but were hit full force when we returned. So much so I had to get straight to the shops on my return to pick up some more warm clothes. Any excuse to go shopping.
April has got to be one of my favourite months, probably because it’s my birthday month! This past weekend was titled “The Weekend of E” and involved too much cake, lots of fun cocktails and time with my favourite people. I celebrated turning 27 from Friday morning tea time at work all the way through till yesterday evening.
Can you believe it’s already October? When I think about how fast this year has flown by I feel very nervous. Christmas is just around the corner, but I’m pretty sure I’ll be working this year. Unfortunately the emergency department never sleeps and someone has got to man the desk so pretty sure I’ll be rocking a Santa hat at work on December 25. I’m pretty upset/annoyed about it but I guess I’ve just got to suck it up – at least I’m not a patient in the hospital! With a new season and more fun on the way I though it was time to take stock.
After the many likes and comments on my previous Taking Stock venture (a Pip Lincoln idea) I’ve decided to serve up a second slice.
I’ll admit I’ve got a bit of a crush on Pip Lincolne’s blog. There is just something about it that inspires and makes me all warm and cosy.
