I’ve just returned home from a week away with friends (and E of course) in the beautiful lower south west of Western Australia. Denmark to be exact. The bush meets beach town is about a five hour drive from Perth, and boasts coastal vibes with a small country town feel. It’s quiet and relaxed, with something for everyone.
Pure, uninterrupted serenity. The feeling of having no responsibility. Complete peace. But let us touch on that later. I begin this post as the rain beats down on the tin roof of our “traditional” log chalet.
I can’t tell you how long the Wallpaper Guide To Perth has sat on my bookshelf, but when I initially picked it up online I had plans. Plans to get out and discover my city.
If you ever find yourself in the tiny country town of Toodyay and a coffee and cake craving hits (they are very sporadic), pop over to Wendouree Tea Rooms.
Every now and then it’s nice to leave the city for a day. Especially when it involves a road trip through the beautiful, hilly countryside of Western Australia and your destination is the Avon Valley’s annual Vintage Festival.
