What I Wore: #WinterStyleFile Fashion Challenge with Kimba Likes & She Writes

If you didn’t realise it by now I love a good style challenge. Why? Because they push me to think outside the style box, incorporate fun new twists to my wardrobe and spot the holes on what is missing. Plus it’s a cool way to discover your wardrobe over and over again. I’m currently taking part in at least six style challenges over on Instagram and mixing them together has made for some fun outfits! I wanted to share a few outfits I put together for Kimba Likes and She Writes seasonal style challenge.

Winter work wear essentials you need this season!

Winter is coming! Well, it is in Perth anyway! The mornings have been colder, the sun is taking a lot longer to rise and I’ve found myself dressing a lot warmer than I have been recently. Boo! There are a few things I like about Winter, including rain on the roof at night, puddles and whipping out the thicker doona, but that’s pretty much it! I struggle to find motivation in the colder months, especially when it comes to putting together work outfits. Summer is so much simpler – pop on a dress and away you go. But in the cooler months you have to really put together your looks and consider the possible downpours and icy winds you may encounter! I’ve put together this post sharing my Autumn and Winter work wear essentials for those of you like me who struggle with their “semi-corporate” wardrobe as soon as the temperature plummets.

Two months of snapping my #everydaystyle shots done and dusted! Why is she taking daily pictures of herself and uploading them to Instagram? More about that here. Anyway, let me just say photographing my daily outfit has become very much a normal part of my day. I wake up, drink a coffee, shower, dress, photograph myself, upload the picture and zoom off to work.

#everydaystyle January 2016

If you don’t follow my Instagram you probably wouldn’t know I’ve been photographing my daily outfits. Nearly every single day! Why? Because one of my favourite bloggers Nikki at Styling You started a very cool challenge a few years back and I’ve decided to take part this year.

What I Wore: Frocktober Week 2

I can’t believe we are half way through Frocktober already! Update time… My skin is more tan already, I’ve finally gotten over shaving my legs every day (smooth is so much better than spikes) and I’ve already raised over $320 for Ovarian Cancer research! There is still time to donate guys. Did you know that Ovarian Cancer is known as the silent killer and is usually diagnosed in the advanced stages when it is extremely hard to treat and almost impossible to cure. Scary hey? But if you guys donate today you’ll be contributing to much needed research, and hopefully one day we will be able to catch the silent killer and it’ll be silent no more. Now on to this weeks frock haul. To see last weeks looks click here. DAY 7 – Vintage Midi On Wednesday’s we wear floral. Not pink, you won’t see me in a lot of pink. I’m girly, but not that girly! This floral vintage dress was discovered at an op shop a few months back and I wear …
